About the Seminar:

PMI is a very important tool in identifying the material Chemical Composition. It is used to verify the material before, during and after fabrication, during in-service and also used to verify the weld chemical composition to ensure that correct filler metal was used during welding. Codes like API Recommended Practice 578 and contract specification of various projects in Oil & Gas and Offshore marine industry stipulate the PMI requirement in the recent years.

In this seminar, Handheld XRF Spectrometry and Optical emission Spectrometers of Bruker will be explained.

Handheld X-ray fluorescent (XRF) analyzers have the capability to quantify or qualify nearly any element from

Magnesium to Uranium, depending on specific instrument configurations.

Portable XRF spectrometers allow you to take the battery operated analyzer to the sample rather than bringing the

sample into the lab. This is especially useful when the test specimen is large or heavy.

Handheld XRF Industries and applications are very diverse; some examples include:

Metal Analysis,  Scrap Sorting, Positive Material Identification

Optical emission spectrometers cover the analysis of the chemical elements at the complete range from sub-ppm

to percentage levels from pure metals trace analysis to high-alloyed grades. All relevant elements can directly be

analyzed simultaneously.

High-quality spark spectrometers enable metal analysis for all metal industry process stages, from metal

production through processing and recycling.

Thanking you, For & Behalf of NDTSS
